2:22 الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فِرَاشًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَأَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَنْدَادًا وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ [He] who created to suit your needs the earth a bed [spread out] along with the sky a ceiling and sent down in the sky, rain and brought forth thus fruits as provision for you. ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
264. O you who feel! Never render in vain your Sadaqah (charity) by reminders of your respective generosity or by personal injury, like him who spends his wealth for being seen of Gentlemen, and he does not have confidence in Allah, nor in the Last Working day.
And when it is claimed to them: “Believe in what Allah has sent down”, they say: “We believe in what was despatched all the way down to us. They usually disbelieved in that which arrived following it, while it's the reality confirming what is with them”.
